The Soundtrack Album For GODLESS: THE EASTFIELD EXORCISM Releases Today

Inspired by true events 'Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism' tells the chilling story of Lara (Georgia Eyers), a young woman tormented by haunting visions of a demonic presence both in her dreams and in her waking life. Desperate for relief, Lara and her husband Ron (Dan Ewing) turn to a pitiless self-proclaimed exorcist named Daniel (Tim Pocock) in search of spiritual healing. But what begins as a hopeful solution quickly descends into a brutal nightmare as the exorcism unleashes unspeakable horrors upon Lara's already fragile psyche.

As Dmitri set out to score the film, he wanted to capture the ominous and chilling atmosphere of an exorcism movie. The early scenes were designed to keep the audience guessing about whether Lara's experiences were truly supernatural or simply the product of her troubled mind. However, as the story unfolds, it becomes clear that the true horrors lay not in the exorcism itself, but in the brutal torture and captivity of an innocent woman by religious zealots. Primarily an orchestral score, Dmitri also tried to capture other unique esoteric sounds. Using a variety of recording techniques, from contact microphones to processing sounds through guitar pedals, he recorded the sounds of bowed and tapped welded metallic objects, bowed acoustic guitars, rubber mallets running across drum skins and more in order to convey the sound of Lara's schizophrenic mind.

In addition to the film score by Dmitri Golovko, the Soundtrack Album boasts a thrilling bonus remix by acclaimed dark electronic artist Tobacco Rat (aka Jake Steele). Drawing inspiration from the score, the Australian based music producer has masterfully crafted a daring new version of Track 14 - Chase In The Woods. The remix seamlessly blends the haunting orchestral elements of the original with Tobacco Rat's signature edgy electronic sound, resulting in an electrifying and unforgettable track.

Independently produced in Melbourne, Australia and shot during the height of Covid lockdowns, 'Godless: The Eastfield Exorcism' has already been getting significant attention overseas. Already having secured a US distributor in XYZ Films, the movie has managed to secure its place on the international stage and is already seeing buzz. The US premiere of the film took place at the Overlook Film Festival in the vibrant city of New Orleans with much critical acclaim.

The film was directed by Nick Kozakis with a script by Alexander Angliss-Wilson, and produced by Lauren Simpson, Tim Whiting and Tony Coombs.
